Local pay and employment in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds

  • Hull and Liverpool saw among the strongest wage growth along the M62 corridor of the north of England, in May 2025 -  7% and 6.3% respectively,

  • Leeds and Manchester experienced employment declines  on the year (-0.7% and -1.6%), signalling a potential downturn in recruitment demand.

  • London continues to lead the way on monthly pay (£2,951/month), but saw a -1.7% drop in employment this year.
